Privacy Policy

The short version

• We can't see your Drive. AutoSort uses Google's most restrictive Drive permission (drive.file): it can only open the one folder and one spreadsheet it created for you. The rest of your Drive is invisible to it — enforced by Google, not just promised by us.
• We don't read your chats. AutoSort listens only in the client groups you explicitly map. Every other chat and group on your WhatsApp is ignored at the connection level.
• We don't keep your documents. Files go straight to your own Google Drive. Our database holds operational records only — timestamps, file types, success/failure — never document contents, amounts, parties, or message text.

What we store

• Your account: Google email, firm name, and the WhatsApp number you linked.
• Per client: the name you gave them, the IDs of their Drive folder and sheet tab, and the mapped WhatsApp group's ID and name.
• Activity log: date/time, document type (invoice/payment), file type, and delivery status of each capture. No financial content.

Document processing

To extract the fields that land in your sheet (date, amount, vendor), each dropped file is sent to Google's Gemini API at the moment it arrives and is not retained by us afterwards. No human at AutoSort sees your documents. The extracted fields are written to your sheet — yours, in your Google account.

Your number, your choice

Most accountants link their everyday WhatsApp number, and AutoSort is built for that. If you'd rather keep work separate, a dedicated SIM works too — just remember that its phone must come online every week or two, or WhatsApp automatically unlinks companion devices.

Removing your data

Removing a client stops capture immediately; their folder and sheet tab stay in your Drive — they're yours. To delete your account and our operational records, email support@autosort.in.
